Tax Consultant - Customs & Indirect Tax

Purpose of the Job : To provide trade & customs consulting and support services. Key job Responsibilities: • Proficient in use of technology, technology platforms and AI. • Assist with customs compliance assistance to clients on eFiling. • Interact with internal business units, external clients and government agencies such as SARS. • Drafting emails, responses and initial deliverables in the appropriate formats for review. • Assist with KPMG risk related matters, client acceptance procedures, filing requirements and invoicing. • Build credibility and relationships with colleagues across service lines, clients and government agencies. • Communicate effectively (verbal and written). • Actively participate in training and ask questions to achieve personal and work goals. • Assist with the research and preparation of proposals. Critical Skills required : • Basic accounting knowledge • Technology literate • Needs to have drive and enthusiasm • Eagerness to learn new skills • Good interpersonal skills • Good presentation skills • Able to communicate at all levels • Effective time management skills • Able to deliver to tight time scales • Able to adapt to different working environments • Structured and efficient.
