We place our patients and their families at the centre of the rehabilitation journey and aim to restore their identity and enable the fulfilment of their life roles. We are a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists whose goal is to provide continuous care along the rehabilitation journey from acute treatment to outpatient therapy, and beyond into the community and the workplace. Our dedicated Speech Therapy team empowers patients on their recovery journey, focusing on enhancing independent living, developing adaptive strategies, and helping them regain the ability to engage in meaningful activities, ultimately improving their overall quality of life. This role is likely to be based in inpatient setting (acute or rehab based). We are flexible regarding working hours - looking for someone either part time (20/25 hours per week) or full time (40 hours per week). Learn more about us at rehabmatters.co.za. Key performance areas  Assessment and Evaluation: Ability to assess patients' function and limitations to create personalised treatment plans.  Therapy: Proficiency in techniques to improve communication and understanding, dysphagia assessment and management, promotion of safety, independence and quality of life.  Patient Education: Skills to educate patients about speech and language pathology and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery.  Collaboration: Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care.  Documentation: Tracking progress and updating treatment plans.
