Quality Control & Production Compliance Officer Position Overview Support the production facility by ensuring quality control standards are met daily, while leading new product development initiatives that align with market trends and company strategy. This dual role bridges operational compliance and innovation leadership. Key Responsibilities: Quality Control (QC) • Manage and lead Quality Control department. • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products. • Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards (GMP and local legislation). • Document and report deviations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement measures. • Train staff on QC procedures and ensure adherence to all production and good manufacturing practice SOPs. Production Facility Support • Assist in daily production scheduling, monitoring output, and resolving bottlenecks. • Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and calibrated. • Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams to manage stock levels and reduce waste. • Support audits and facility inspections by external regulators. New Product Development (NPD) Leadership • Research market trends, competitor products, and customer insights to identify opportunities. • Lead formulation trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life testing. • Collaborate with marketing, procurement, and production teams to bring concepts to launch. • Prepare technical documentation, costing models, and feasibility reports for new products. • Drive innovation projects with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and consumer appeal. Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of FMCG production processes and quality standards. • Analytical mindset with attention to detail. • Project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Creativity in product ideation balanced with commercial awareness. • Excellent communication (verbal, written, bilingual advantage). Qualifications & Experience • Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field. • 5 years’ experience in FMCG production or QC roles. • Proven track record in NPD projects from concept to launch. • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and certifications. Performance Deliverables • Zero tolerance for QC non-compliance. • On-time delivery of production schedules. • Minimum of 2–3 successful product launches per quarter. • Documented cost savings or efficiency improvements in facility operations.
