Job Description: PRODUCTION MANAGER Location: Brackenfell, Western Cape, South Africa Business Unit: Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain (MOS) | Sales and Marketing (Production) Reports To: National Operations Manager Join MOS and help build the foundation for sustainable growth. Innovating to enhance life, together creating a greener future. ROLE IMPACT KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Production & Planning Lead production planning and raw material forecasting. Monitor usage variance and ensure consistent product quality. Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and output. Procurement & Maintenance Manage procurement of packaging materials and coordinate repairs and maintenance. Ensure cost-effective sourcing and equipment reliability. Contractor & Site Management Oversee contractor performance and compliance. Supervise smaller satellite sites to ensure alignment with central operations. Stock & Expense Management Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Manage operational expenses and contribute to cost control initiatives. People Leadership Lead and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. Ensure effective workforce planning, training, and performance management. Compliance & Safety Ensure full compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations. Promote a zero-harm culture and uphold all company safety standards. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in production management, preferably in fertilizer or chemical manufacturing. Proven experience in contractor and multi-site management. Key Competencies Strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills. Solid understanding of procurement, stock control, and compliance frameworks.
