Curro seeks to appoint a Preschool Teacher (full-time) at Curro Halfway Gardens in Midrand to commence duties in January 2027 Vacancy Reference: 30000 Curro is seeking to appoint a preschool teacher at Curro Halfway Gardens in Midrand. The role involves teaching and coordinating a range of subjects as per the Curro curriculum and ECD guidelines for the preschool phase. The teacher is responsible for the active teaching, knowledge transfer, skills development and growth of positive attitudes among learners through integrated and focused teaching approaches. Key performance areas Perform teaching duties, including planning and overseeing activities (inside and outside the classroom), mealtimes, hygiene, break times, sleep time, teaching materials and concerts Plan and manage administration, including lesson planning and assessment of outcomes, record-keeping, parent and learner meetings, overseeing student teachers and leading assemblies when required Manage the classroom, including classroom design and set-up for optimal performance, disciplinary rules and communication with learners and parents Observe and record learner behaviour daily and manage feedback to parents and management as well as problem areas Plan and manage extramural activities and aftercare, including homework Qualifications, experience and skills BEd qualitfication or studying towards a BEd qualification Minimum 3 year of experience as a preschool teacher Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills Willing and able to work extended hours Proficient in Microsoft Office SACE-registered Clear criminal record Closing date: 30 September 2026.
