PART-TIME SWIMMING COACHES

Clifton School, the independent school for boys in Durban, offers a traditional education from Grade 00 to Grade 12. It is situated in Morningside in Durban Clifton School invites applications for the following posts: PART-TIME SWIMMING COACHES (Term 4 of 2026 and Term 1 of 2027) The ideal candidates must have the following qualities: Proven experience in coaching swimming and Learn to Swim; Relevant swimming coaching certification (SSA or equivalent); Valid first aid certification; Strong understanding of swimmer development, stroke techniques, training methodologies and performance development appropriate to schoolboy swimming; Ability to motivate, inspire and connect with young athletes; Ability to support swimmers at various levels, from beginner to advanced while maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment at all times; Willingness to work collaboratively with the coaching staff and mentor athletes to reach their full potential; Have a passion for swimming and coaching. Key responsibilities: Plan, deliver and coach swimming sessions across various age groups; Promote teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship; Develop individual and team swimming skills, from beginner to advanced levels; Support the School’s aquatics strategy and performance goals; Mentor students to achieve both personal and team excellence; Assist with swimming galas, school events and competitions as required.
