Experienced Foundation Phase Teacher – 2027

Unicorn Preparatory School is an independent, Christian, English-medium day school catering for boys and girls from Grade R to Grade 7.  The school is a member of the Independent Schools Association of South Africa, ISASA and as such, is quality assured by both ISASA and UMALUSI. It is situated in the sub-tropical region of Tzaneen in Limpopo province. Experienced Foundation Phase Teacher – 2027 Preferably with Grade 2 experience Unicorn Preparatory School invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from January 2027. Local and National applications for a Foundation Phase teaching post are invited, preferably with Grade 2 experience.  The candidate must have at least 5 years appropriate teaching experience. The candidate will also be expected to take part in the school’s full extra-curricular programme, which will include cultural activities and coaching seasonal sport. The requirements for this position include but are not limited to: Must have a recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed in Foundation Phase Teaching), Knowledge of working with children at Foundation Phase level, A passion for teaching, strong classroom management skills and a basic understanding of the development of Foundation Phase children, Must be computer literate, Must be willing to engage in the school’s full programme, including all after hours and extra-curricular activities and Foundation Phase sport, (this includes some Saturdays) An unequivocal commitment to working as part of an accomplished team, A commitment to on-going personal and professional development, An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos and extra-curricular activities, Be willing to get a police clearance certificate and must have a clear criminal record, Must be SACE registered, Must have an excellent command of the English language, Must have at least 5 years Foundation Phase teaching experience.
