CREDITORS CLERK The Diocesan School for Girls, Makhanda (Eastern Cape), invites applications for the position of Creditors Clerk. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, organised individual with strong administrative skills. The position requires managing the full creditors’ function across supplier accounts, EFT payments, and recurring contract administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all financial obligations and contributing to the integrity and efficiency of the accounts payable process. The successful candidate will: manage creditor reconciliations by collating supplier statements, verifying invoices, and resolving queries. process and upload EFT online payments in line with Finance policy, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete. administer monthly contract, rental, municipal and interschool accounts, including accurate meter readings. oversee laundry, transport, and catering accounts, reconciling charges and ensuring correct allocations. maintain accurate records in Pastel and ensure compliance with financial policies. undertake ad hoc finance administration tasks as required by the Bursar or Finance Manager. Skills and experience needed: Grade 12 with a bookkeeping/accounting certificate. 5 years’ experience in a similar environment. strong administrative and financial skills with attention to detail. excellent communication and written skills. proficiency in Excel, Word, and Pastel. ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. adaptable to change and the incorporation of technological improvements and efficiencies. confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
